Featured Dog

Our Featured Dog is a special greyhound who needs extra attention and care. Almost Home for Hounds cares for all greyhounds that come into the facility on an individual basis. Each dog is spayed or neutered, given vaccinations, and tested on many different levels to determine the right owner and home for the Greyhound.

Jumper and her sister, Brandy, came to AHH both suffering from polyarthritis. Brandy lost her battle with this devastating disease last year. Jumper is thankfully still with us, and although the cold weather is hard on her, she is a happy and friendly girl. She is also pretty darn cute and will charm anyone who comes visiting!

We have greyhounds who require different needs from other dogs or even other greyhounds. Some are elderly, disabled, or hurt.
